Using the 5 series movement this is rated as one of the finest in-house caliber Omega's ever produced. It was a very early "Chronometer" - which basically means it was tested to a higher level of accuracy than most watches from its era.

The date display is obviously a useful / essential tool for some.

The watch is working beautifully and back to original factory recommendations at 0-5 seconds a day beating at 19800bhp with the Bear Error at 0.00.
