The movement (engine of the watch) is Mechanical Hand-Winding which means its purely mechanical (uses gears) and no battery will ever be needed. It will need a daily hand wind if you are planning to use.
Please be advised vintage watches are smaller than today's standards so please ensure you are comfortable with the 34mm diameter square size. Modelled on a 6.5 inch wrist so will perhaps suit a small to medium size wrist.
Please be realistic in regards to conditions and do not expect mint. There will naturally be imperfections with a watch dating back to 1978 but overall still good condition as per pictures.
